Standing For Victims Of Medical Negligence
In his Op Ed in the newspaper in 2013 the Kentucky Chamber’s Dave Adkisson discussed his plan to undermine the constitutional rights of medical negligence victims. His article does a disservice to those who have been victimized by medical negligence. Satterley & Kelley offers a different opinion.
Mr. Adkisson did not say a single word about the real crisis. He did not say a word about the crisis of medical negligence that is killing and maiming innocent patients and nursing home residents. It is estimated that there are between 200,000 and 400.000 preventable medical error deaths in the United States every year. The Journal of Healthcare Finance reports that preventable medical error in the United States costs up to $1 trillion each year.
